Meteor Rockstar: Erin

I followed Kelsey on Instagram.  Her advice was always so well broken down and thought out.....not too mention that she is a badass runner. I am a busy mom of 2 and a doctor. After battling through depression after terminating a pregnancy I was finally willing to make more of an investment in myself. I was wanting to both continue to lose weight and start chasing some running goals of my own.  I knew this was a fine balance and that I needed help. I finally made the commitment to myself and reached out.

My work....my work....my work, were my biggest challenges prior to working with Kelsey. I am an ER and ICU physician.  My schedule is tough and ever changing.

I also was not willing to give up any of my meals with my family.  We eat together as often as possible and I was not willing to make one thing for my kids and another meal for myself. I wanted them to see me fueling, staying active, and chasing some goals.

When it comes to my frustrations with my nutrition, I was definitely not always making good decisions at work.  I was either too busy to eat or just scarfing down whatever I could find.  It was often hard to plan what I could manage to eat at work.  Those patterns were not helping my energy levels or my running.

Success with my nutrition has felt really good. Specific to my running I have been able to push through training despite my crazy schedule.  I have even come through some injuries and been able to rehab more quickly.  Kelsey has helped me figure out how to eat on crazy shifts and before my early or late runs. I am always still working at it, but I am lucky to have such a great dietitian.

I ran the Chicago marathon last fall, felt strong at the finish and at 41 years old was only 9 minutes off my PR that I ran at age 29. Right now I am training for the Cherry blossom 10 miler....and at least gonna try for a PR. I am always still working on my nutrition, but I feel confident that I have great help and support.

If you are considering to apply as a client to work with Meteor Nutrition I would say to take this step and invest in yourself.  It is so worth it.
